Public transport is strongly encouraged, as getting around is easy and convenient. Bath bus and train station are around a 15-minute walk away — downhill from the house into town, and uphill on the return. ⸻ Parking Near the House **Please note we have recently managed to buy a parking permit for ONE car, should you need to use this please contact us when booking to arrange this** It has a limit of 4h but I can extend as needed. • Directly outside the property there is residents’ on-street parking. (Parking permit can be used here) • There are usually plenty of spaces available, however parking here is at your own risk. • On the side streets next to the house (the closest being Milton Avenue), there are additional on-street parking options: • Permit holders only or • Up to 2 hours parking between 8am–6pm (outside of these hours you can park freely) • Some streets apply Monday–Saturday, others Monday–Sunday Please always read the parking signs carefully where you choose to park. Parking is entirely at your own risk, and we are not liable for any parking fines or penalties incurred during your stay. ⸻ Park & Ride – Highly Recommended For a stress-free option, we recommend the Odd Down Park & Ride (BA2 8PA): • Around a 5-minute drive from the house • You can park overnight for approximately £2.50 per 24 hours (Please check current rules online or on-site and park at your own risk) This is a great solution if you’re arriving by car and don’t want the hassle of moving it during your stay. • Park & Ride buses run every 15 minutes • The bus passes the house and stops just down in Bear Flat (you can see the bus stops from the property) • You can tap on and off or purchase tickets onboard or via the First Bus App Current prices (subject to change): • Adult return: £3.70 • Group return (2 adults, Monday–Friday after 9:30am): £5.50 • Bath Zone Group Day (up to 5 people, unlimited travel): £13.00 • 10 single journeys (anytime use): £14.80 (Available via Travelwest smartcard or First Bus mTickets) ⸻ Why This Works So Well Whether you choose to walk, bus, or use Park & Ride, getting into Bath is simple and quick. We had a wonderful stay! The house was very clean, beautifully maintained, and exactly as described. The location was perfect — convenient and in a great area. Absolutely loved our stay and couldn’t recommend this place enough! The house looked amazing and the rooms were incredibly spacious. There were three of us and having our own bathrooms was a huge bonus, with four rooms to choose from and plenty of space for luggage. The layout is spot on. The loft room was much bigger than expected and really well set up, with an extra sofa bed that we didn’t need but was great as a seating area and would be perfect for families. The lounge was stylish and super comfortable, and the dining room was massive and could easily fit the 10 guests it's advertised for, without feeling cramped. The location is ideal and only a 15min walk into Bath city centre, with everything very close. There’s also a great pub nearby, The Bear, which serves amazing food. Parking was as advised by the host, but we took a risk and parked outside in residential spaces and had no issues, otherwise there's nearby street parking. Overall, a fantastic stay and great value!
